Founded in December 2014, the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) is dedicated to encouraging and expanding investment in creative industries. It offers a vibrant platform for the pursuit of knowledge as well as intellectual and cultural exchange.
SBA seeks to highlight the significant role books continue to play in promoting community awareness as technology advances and a diversity of knowledge sources become available. The Authority also aims to attract relevant bodies and leading figures representing the cultural sector, particularly, publishing, printing, translation, documentation and children’s literature.
